Mentally and Physically ill, and their rehabilitation;
The Trust provides care and treatment for the mentally ill and physically challenged. It conducts recreational programs and exposure which involves the inmates in the daily activities of the centre and provides them skill training programs.
Our objective is not only to help the patients to learn the basic life skills to lead happy normal life with the family members and in the society, but also help them to understand set norms or rules and regulations of the society. Psychological support is given by the counselors in individual counseling and family counseling. Craft works are done by the patients and they offer the product to visitors who are coming to the Ashram.
Our inmates are here for various reasons –many are picked from the street, some women came here after being raped on the street and being pregnant, few are sent by their families and some of them are collected and dropped off by Government officials, social workers and NGO’s. In fear of social ostracism or troubles finding suitors for their children, the patients’ families feel the need to get rid of their relatives – the flaw of a psychiatric disease would forever stain a family’s good name and reputation.

The patients who engage themselves in any work or activities they are awarded with the prizes on special vocations like festivals and national festival to motivate them to continue their efforts and also help them to improve interpersonal relationships. Different cultural programs also conducted by the patients on every Sundays and also on the special vocations.
